Alps in Korea – in Winter

Finally~~ After a long wait, I reached the place that I really wanted to go in Korea. First time to know this place through TV on 2008 ^^. And finally reached this place called Daegwallyeong (๋Œ€๊ด€๋ น) twice hihihi… ย *thnx God*

As most of people who lives in tropical country, one of the dream to go to 4 seasons country would be experience SNOW ๐Ÿ™‚ . And finally, it was awesome to be here on winter when it was snowing ^____^

N let picture the pictures speak ๐Ÿ™‚

It was snowing lightly when I went there, but looks like the days before it was snowing a lot, cos snows really covers all the place.

There was a chair ๐Ÿ™‚

But those snow didn’t block us to going around, more over for some photographers who went there. Cos this is would be the best time to capture snow flower (๋ˆˆ๊ฝƒ), which means the snow which stuck on the tree..

One of the thing that can’t be miss in here would be… the(cute) sheep ^_^

And lucky us, it was informed that it was the only time for sheep where the kids can be gathered with their mom.

Summer Holiday Summary

This year i got 4 days summer holidays which I divided into 2.
Part 1 was July 23rd – 24th 09.
Part 2 was Aug 6th – 7th 09.

Since there’s still not enough time to tell, so just wrap it up with some pictures first ^^

Part 1 summary

On July 23rd (Thursday), spent the times near Seoul, and visiting some good places with good buildings and view
I took a bus from Seoul and went to Paju City and visited English Village, Heyri Art Village and Provence Village. I like their unique and cute buildings there.

When saw the Pucca it reminded me with PrettyPucca ^^

On July 24th (Friday). I went to DuMulMeoRi (๋‘๋ฌผ๋จธ๋ฆฌ) which is the meeting point of the North and South Han River. Then continued to my favorite place, N-Seoul Tower.

Part 2 summary

If the 1st part spent near Seoul, then it’s time to go farther~ Also it’s because my friend invited me to come to her hometown (Ulsan) and asked to go out together. *thank u onni~~*

So I went there (alone hihi) with midnite bus.

Aug 6th 09 (Thursday)

Arrived in Ulsan around 4.30, then went to GanJeolGot Lighthouse(๊ฐ„์ ˆ๊ณถ ๋“ฑ๋Œ€) by bus from the terminal. Actually this is the place to see sunrise, but it was cloudy and i arrived there quite late (around 6.30). But it’s fine, cos i enjoyed the view, and dunno why lately i like to see Lighthouse, water wheel / windmill, cliff ~

Back to Ulsan, met my friend then we went to GyeongJu and visited some places in a day. So we went to Bulguksa Temple, DaeReung Tomb Park (yups..tomb ^^), CheomSeongDae and place near the lake (dunno the name) that has nice big water wheel. (don’t compare it with wheels in Netherlands ^^)

Aug 7th 09 (Friday)

DaeWangAm (๋Œ€์™•์•”)

DaeWangAm (๋Œ€์™•์•”)

We went to Ulsan Grand Park, which has big wind wheel windmill (again xixi), took the shuttle bus to look around the park (it was soooo big) then we met with my friends had nyummy MilMyeon (๋ฐ€๋ฉด) together. My friends recommended me to go to Ulgi Lighthouse (o ho…), so after discussion I went there, while onni continued to explore the park with her cute nephew.

The view Ulgi Lighthouse (์šธ๊ธฐ๋“ฑ๋Œ€) was great, especially the DaeWangAm (๋Œ€์™•์•”). In DaeWangAm, the king was buried under this rock.

Aug 8th 09 (Saturday)

haeundae (ํ•ด์šด๋Œ€)

haeundae (ํ•ด์šด๋Œ€)

Since I’ve been far from seoul, so I continued the trip around GyeongSan-Do. At first i was planning to go alone, but lucky i could meet my friend in Busan ^_^. This day i was surprised with the view of parasols along the Haeundae beach (ํ•ด์šด๋Œ€) ~ quite unique for me to see those parasols. Cos I’ve never seen something like this in Bali, not even imagine it.

At night we crossed the GwangAn bridge by taxi (and made the video of it ^^)ย  and enjoyed the view in GwangAn beach (๊ด‘์•ˆ๋ฆฌ),

Aug 9th 09 (Sunday) – Last day

TaeJongDae Lighthouse (ํƒœ์ข…๋Œ€)

TaeJongDae Lighthouse (ํƒœ์ข…๋Œ€)

The last day was closed with visiting the fish market and the great ์น˜cliff view of TaeJongDae. I do really like this place ^__^

Then i went back with (expensive huhuhu) KTX *hoho first time*, but it was great… I enjoyed the view along the way~~

Thnx G for the great summer holiday ^_^

Thnx God for the sky

Tuesday, Aug 5 4th 09

It was around 25C in this summer..

In the morning i was splashed with a simple but deep questions.
What if… what if you know that you have several days left to life. What would you do? How will you see your life? Will there be any regret?

I have no idea, why these question suddenly pop-up in the morning. So i tried to answer it to my self. If…
If i only have several days left, then i would spend it with my friends then go back to spend my times my family. And write how i spend every single day, to realize how blessed I am.
And i will see my life as a gift, and there will be no regret for everything that I’ve passed, and I’ll always try my best to be better me.
Dunno why, but that’s the answer that pop-up in my mind this morning.

On my way to lab, i started to think of my answer, and just realized how blessed I am, cos at least I could see my life in good point of view. Thnx G~

So, today I made appointment to go to bus station with my friends, to reserve the ticket.

When I went out lab around 6 to buy the ticket, suddenly *wow*-ed by the sky today.
so directly took the cam in my bag and *click*

Not long after that, got a message from friend that said she’s going to be late cos of something. So, instead of rushing to the meeting point, I enjoyed the sky this evening by riding bike. Look up n front *of course kkk, otherwise brrruuukkk *

To me, enjoying simple but beautiful thing from the nature, can light up my day ^_^

The Eclipst that I Saw

Wednesday, July 22 2009

Yippie ^_^ finally i saw it. Though it was not total eclipse in here, but it was great to be able to see it ^_^. I tried to look out a window couple of times, but it was still bright and I couldn’t see any eclipse. So i was thinking to go roof around 10.25AM KST (seoul time).

Near the maximum eclipse time (10.48), suddenly got a call from a friend n said they were gathering in front of one building with the telescope. O ho~what a right time~ So i went there with some lab friends, and see what I saw..

Eclipse July 2009 in Seoul

That’s the sun reflection on the paper, because it was quite dangerous to see it directly.

In the crowd

This year i spent my old n new quite different from previous years… I put my self in the crowd ^ ^ the thing that I didn’t use to do before ^ ^

I had dinner with friends in MyeongDong, and had Crepes.. We had great dinner ^ ^ (too much actually for me :D) And after that, some friends went back to dorm, while me and others continued for the next round ๐Ÿ˜€

Unfortunately it was terribly cold outside, so we decided to wait for the countdown in Dunkin, which means, i ordered Hot Choco hihihi….around 11pm.. er started to go out again… and lucky cos there were so many people..i felt warmer at least.

When i said so many, it means sooooo many..cos not only people who want to countdown in Jongak, but also some demonstrants hahaha…so it was totally crowded…plus the polices.. Wow… They also brought flags to protest the president..

Some pics of the crowd

But I enjoyed it ^ ^
(video of the countdown will be uploaded, it was so interesting ๐Ÿ™‚ )

I arrived at dorm around 1AM, and set alarm to wake up in the morning, to say hi to the first sunrise ^ ^ My friend told me, it’s a culture in here to see the first sunrise of the new year… *wow, cool*, since i love it, so i join her too ๐Ÿ˜€ at first we wanted to go to the beach, but it was too far.. plus it’s gonna be colder and windy… moreover my condition still not fully recovered (yeah..gotta bad flu, and still tired a bit..but it didn’t stop me to see the sunrise ^ ^ )

So we decided to go to Namsan Tower

We checked the sunrise will be 7.46AM, so we arranged to meet in the station at 6.40AM..

I woke up around 5.45AM, and quickly went to the subway ๐Ÿ˜€ and i was surprised… cos to get the bus, we had to take the queue… *wow another crowd* and in the bus it was so crowded too…but lucky we got a seat :D. My friend came with her boyfriend…

But it was nothing….When we arrived in Namsan, i was more surprised… there were so many people had been there while we arrived… *wow, what time did they arrive there??*

another pictures of the crowd

see some people already took their place on the tree.. wow wow n wow…and don’t ask bout the was cold…around -8 or -9 i guess…
But i was lucky to go there with my friend…they brought kimbab for breakfast hihihi… and after the watching sunrise, I got sandwich and warm water…What a perfect ^ ^

After went up and finally decided to go down again, cos we didn’t get a good spot…finally we satisfied by sneaking the sunrise that blocked with the big tree…but still we could see the beauty of the sun that slowly appear from the red sky untill the full sun…it was beautiful.

and i took the pic like every second hahhaa…

Nice Spot

Today when i watched the drama (Beethoven Virus –ย ๋ฒ ํ† ๋ฒค๋ฐ”์ด๋Ÿฌ์Šค) i crushed on one place…the last scene on Ep.10… it was perfectly beautiful..

Since the first time i watched it.. i was wondering about the scene location that they used for the looks good… looks peace…

2 places that i want to see bcoz of this drama..

1. Pettite France (์˜๋ ํ”„๋ž‘์Šค)

This is the spot when they used to rehearse…
In my opinion this place looks peace…and doesn’t look like in Korea ^ ^
But..still don’t know where’s the exact place ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

(picture taken from here)

2. DaeGwanRyeong Ranch (๋Œ€๊ด€๋ น ์–‘๋•Œ ๋ชฉ์žฅ)

At first i was wondering where is it…but after hearing the drama for the 2nd time ๐Ÿ˜›
somehow i hear the name of the place…then found it on inet..

First time i saw it…the hills, the green pastures, the wind wheel… i put it on my wish list… since i know it must be in Korea…. but somewhere out of seoul…
So..this place is in Gangwon-do… quite far…but i have no idea to go there…

(picture taken from here)

Just wondering… going to this place for 2 days 1 night ^ ^ since this place looks so big…
Somehow to see this kinda place….it looks so peaceful…

(pictures taken from here)

Thnx to the drama for showing this marvelous place…

Someday…I’ll be there ^ ^

739.5 m = (almost) 8 hours

Yups..that’s the equation for today…

to reach 739.5m, we walked 3.1km (’s just 3.1km – that’s what the map said)…
to walk 3.1km, we spent around 3.5 – 4 hours… (OMG)
that’s the way to go up

That time 100m, felt sooooo long

To go down, ย
Since we took different way, so i didn’t know how far we’ve walked
Something for sure..when I were there…I was worry that we were lost…
since there were only 2 of us ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

But anyway… ย It was a great day ๐Ÿ™‚ย

Here’s the report

Sooo..after welcoming and escorting Mr.Hae on Thursday (Aug 28th),ย
on Friday, Gema n I went to Bukhansan National Parkย and we took Dobongsan (Mt.Dobong)’s path

Hmmm we arrived there around 10.30, then we started to walk walk n walk to reach the peak..

The flower welcomed us warmly ๐Ÿ˜€ย

I just prepared 2 bottles of water, then 3 snickers, and some biscuits…
And I borrowed Nan’s hat :D… *i have no hat looo :(*
Cos i think it will be so hot uncomfortable if i wear no hat nor sun glasses..ย

Soo..on our way to go up..we stopped couple of times….
Geee…the old people passed us so fast ๐Ÿ˜ฆ *what a shame*
One of old man that I asked, he went here twice a week (What?!?!?!…)
I was totally absolutely breathless ๐Ÿ˜ฆ *ketauan banget jarang exercisena kkkk*

some pictures that i love

More pictures can be seen here

And to go to the peak, i went there with my lovely tripod *thnx a lot to ko win n c chris ๐Ÿ˜€ for this’s very very useful :P*
Cos gema said she’ll wait near the rope… ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
So…I went there… while Gema was waiting… *sorry to make you wait quite long :D*

The views from the peak??
It was adorable, amazing, and lovely…*out of word to describe it :D*
moreover the feeling when i reached it…then drank a bottle of carrot juice….

Huaa…soooo refreshing…all the tiresome when we climbed it up…it’s all gone.. ๐Ÿ˜€ย
Some people looked me and may be they thought that…
this weird gal..climbed it up alone, then took pictures…set the timer..then ran to make a pose… kekekeke

whatever… as long as i got those pictures…with me in it *It’s a must looo*ย

ย ย

more narcistย beautiful pictures are here (in the peak) and here (going back)

That time we were out of water… ๐Ÿ˜ฆ so i just can gargle with the water from the river *since not sure bout that*, and when we found vending machine….huaaa..what a heaven ๐Ÿ˜€
I drank 2 cans of pocari in less than 5 minutes *kan mengembalikan ion tubuh yang hilang hihihi*ย

Time to sleep now ^ ^
i’ll have my first class tomorrow ๐Ÿ˜€
